On Monday March 4th, OWIT-Ottawa participated as a Panelist at the National Capital Branch (NCB) of the Canadian International Council (CIC)’s fifth Career Expo at Carleton University.
Over 150 participants (37 professionals and 120 students) came out to learn about career-paths and opportunities in international affairs. The evening provided an opportunity to meet colleagues working in similar fields, and offered the chance to provide students with insights and lessons learned from our own experiences. The great turnout and positive feedback received from students are indicative of the level of interest students have in a career related to international affairs. OWIT-Ottawa is pleased to have contributed to this event.
The CIC-NCB organizes a student Career Expo on an annual basis and encourages greater dialogue among public policy makers, academia, and the private sector. Additional information about the CIC can be found at http://opencanada.org/.
