Tali Borges is an articling student at Conway Baxter Wilson, which focuses on litigation matters, including trade disputes. She recently concluded the Global Professional Masters of Law Program (GPLLM) at the University of Toronto.
Tali is an internationally trained lawyer with over ten years of experience. She obtained her Bachelor in Law and her Masters in International Law from the University of Sao Paulo (USP).
Prior to joining Conway Baxter Wilson, she was a lifetime appointed Government Attorney in Brazil. She previously clerked at the State Legislature of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Before that, Tali worked as a legal advisor at the Ministry of Tourism of East Timor. She also co-taught Constitutional Law and Legislative Process at the National University of East Timor, as well as Civil Law in the Legal Training Center of East Timor.
Tali is an international trade enthusiast. During her master’s degree in international law, she delved into international trade topics, particularly investments and BITs. Further, during her summer course at the University of Oxford, Tali focused her studies on Human Rights in the Marketplace, addressing environmental, social, and governance issues, which affect transnational companies.
